An induction meeting was conducted by Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) for the new batch on Sunday, 8th April 2018. IGNOU conducted induction meeting that was held at the study centre in DAV Post Graduate (PG) College conducted at its own campus. All those fresh candidates who had enrolled themselves in numerous degree courses in IGNOU was there to attend the induction meeting for IGNOU Students.
VB Chaurasia, Coordinator of IGNOU Study Centre welcomed hundred of candidates for their gathering and also introduced all of them to the India’s National Open University. The main objective of conducting induction meeting is to share information related various degree programmes, course, activities, assignments, syllabus held at IGNOU. The Coordinator while explaining and interacting with the students presented at the meeting also talked (in detail) about the IGNOU Online Support for all the candidates & other programmes offered by IGNOU.
The regional director of IGNOU Dehradun, Mrs. Asha Sharma along with the coordinator addressed the gathering on the occasion. She further explains and stressed the reasons behind opening new IGNOU Study Centres in different regions or areas with the assurance of full support from the centres. Mrs. Sharma apprised our learners about the achievements, mandate or objectives of the University as it is largest open university offering the candidates with education in hundreds of discipline only through distance learning mode education.
The regional director also revealed that IGNOU Degrees are accepted internationally while IGNOU Courses & Educational Materials are recognised all over the world. IGNOU Online Support is always ready for the candidates in providing any kind of support by the university, which will help them achieving their goal by obtaining higher education.
eGyanKosh, Gyanvani, Gyan Darshan, Eklavya, eGyanKosh.ac.in & other technological aspects are also used by the university i.e; IGNOU providing education to the candidates added Former Study Centre Coordinator HS Randhawa. He laid the emphasis in the flexibility and quality of Educational Materials.
The principle of DAV Post Graduate College, Devendra Bhasin stated that the universities (IGNOU) educational material are of high standard focusing on employment generation.
